In 2015, David Blitz transformed a dilapidated, three-story building in the heart of River North into what has become Chicago’s premiere fitness mecca: Studio Three. The concept quickly transformed into an active, loyal community. In Winter 2018, David will open the second Studio Three in Lincoln Park.

As a developer with extensive experience in creating and building businesses in the real estate, fitness, media, food & beverage and investment sectors, David has always been dedicated to community redevelopment. He collaborates with civic leaders, businesses and residents to ensure that construction is continuously adding value to neighborhoods and improving the lifestyle of its residents. He founded BlitzLake in 2009 to embody that very mission.

For Blitz, who got his start in high-stress banking, Studio Three has become a living lesson in balancing a busy entrepreneurial life with the need to take a breather. His religious spot at both 7am and 5:30pm cycle classes nearly every single day are proof. Studio Three has become David’s third place, and he is proud that countless fellow Chicagoans say the same.
