John Kersh joined Pure Barre in 2017 as Chief Development Officer. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of International Franchise Development for Self-Esteem Brands, the franchisor of healthy lifestyle brands Anytime Fitness and Waxing the City. In his eight years with Anytime Fitness, John grew their international footprint from a handful of gyms in Canada to over 1,000 locations in 25 countries. In addition, John spent 12 years working at IHRSA, the fitness industry trade association and three years developing a start-up franchise in Brazil called Citrus Gym. He is a member of the International Committee of the International Franchise Association and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Michigan State University. John is married with two teenage girls.
