About

A third-generation lumberman, Carter has 25 years of hands-on leadership experience in the lumber and site access industry. Upon assuming the role of CEO, Carter oversaw the research and development and operational changes that launched the company’s flagship product, TerraLam® CLT mats. Currently, Carter spends his time exploring strategic growth opportunities, including product development and acquisitions, and ensuring that the Sterling family values remain the foundation of the company during rapid growth and geographic expansion. Carter holds a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management from the University of Colorado – Boulder.
