About
We All Code is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching and inspiring youth ages 7 to 16 to code. Our free workshops provide hands-on instruction by volunteers from the Chicago developer community inspired to share their passion. Our curriculum exposes students to analytical problem solving to build whatever they might imagine. - Founded as CoderDojoChi in 2013 after conducting years of research and gathering information on why STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is not prolific among diverse ethnic and minority groups. - Rebranded as We All Code in 2019. - Targeted CoderDojoChi towards youth who are not receiving access to positive STEM experiences in their schools and created a fun environment to foster interest in future STEM careers. - Built CoderDojoChi open-sourced curriculum and grew it into a registered 501c3 non-profit with over 50 mentors and over 1000 youth taught. - Implemented board of directors to lead sections of the non-profit organization. - Spearheaded partnerships with various companies and organizations. - Built a custom open-sourced user- and event- management system.Relevant People
