One of the largest private, non-profit Community Action Agencies in the country, CEDA serves residents throughout Cook County, Illinois. Programs and services are offered in the areas of education, emergency assistance, employment and workforce training, energy conservation and services, health and nutrition, and housing counseling services. We are constantly improving and expanding our services to further aid our mission of assisting individuals, families and communities. CEDA has service-specific locations throughout Cook County and partner community sites through which we administer our programs and outreach to the neighborhoods. The concept of community planning and decision making at the grass roots level is the hallmark of CEDA’s service delivery system. CEDA conducts Community Assessments annually with input from Cook County residents and stakeholders. CEDA is the largest of 36 Community Action Agencies (CAA) in Illinois and a member of the Community Action Partnership network comprised of 1,100 CAAs nationwide.
