Tom Hilaris took over the 27-year-old family business in April 2014. Under his leadership, Ergoseal acquired two companies: Norman Technologies and Sieber Tooling Solutions. Both acquisitions were completed within two weeks, doubled the size of the company’s revenue, and expanded Ergoseal’s product offerings.
Since the age of 10, John Hilaris, Tom’s father and founder of Ergoseal, started taking him to work on the weekends. This experience exposed Tom to the industry at a young age, and soon enough he became entangled in the business.
Tom is a driven leader. He has made huge strides in the company as President and CEO. In June 2016, he was featured on NBC Chicago CEO Spotlight and was a guest on the popular manufacturing podcast, MakingChips, where he discussed growth through acquisition.
