About
SaaS cloud-based global recognition software platform. SoloInsight's software is installed in 18 facilities, including Michigan Plaza in Chicago and logistics centers for Home Depot, and Kennedy expects to reach 125 locations in 2019. SoloInsight doesn't disclose revenue, but clients pay about $18,000 per year for each entrance where the software is installed. SoloInsight has nine employees in Chicago and 50 in Pakistan. Kennedy is at work on a venture-capital round to complement $6 million in funding he raised in 2013. Partnerships are helping to drive the company's growth. SoloInsight is a preferred vendor, for example, for Microsoft's Azure internet-of-things suite. "We've watched (SoloInsight's) evolution and are big fans of what they do," says Sam George, director of Microsoft's Azure division. "It's such a great example of how (cloud-based software) can come in and revolutionize an existing space."Relevant People
