Chris Brown is CEO and a board director of Kapow, the world's leading corporate events platform. Headquartered in Chicago, Ill., Kapow operates in 24 markets across the U.S. with plans to expand internationally in 2018.  Prior to Kapow, Chris was senior vice president and chief product officer of Orbitz Worldwide, a leading global online travel company acquired by Expedia, Inc. for $1.6 billion in 2015. While at Orbitz, Chris helped lead a cross functional team of more than 900 tech, product, user experience and retail operations professionals in the delivery of best-in- class online travel solutions for the portfolio of Orbitz Worldwide brands, including Orbitz.com. Through his nearly 10-year career with Orbitz, Chris held a variety of leadership positions in product management focused on improving the shopping experience for millions of Orbitz customers across all platforms.   Chris began his career in Austin, Tex., where he was director of Product for 360Commerce (now part of Oracle Retail), founded a software company that provided return management solutions for eCommerce companies, and held software engineering positions for Trilogy Software. Chris earned his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois and was appointed to the ECE Illinois Alumni Board in July 2017. He and his wife have four children and live in the Chicago suburbs.
