Charles Botchway is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Madison Street Capital, LLC where he is responsible for the firm’s overall strategic direction. Prior to Madison Street Capital, Mr. Botchway was co‐CEO of Houlihan Smith & Company, Inc., where he was responsible for Strategy and Operations. He also served on the board of directors of Houlihan as its Vice Chairman and was integral in crafting and executing the firms’ international expansion strategy.

Prior to joining Houlihan, Mr. Botchway was instrumental in starting and eventually headed the investment banking subsidiary of one of the largest middle market consulting firms in the world. He has served in a variety of roles within the corporate finance and mergers and acquisition sector of investment banking with a focus on private middle market and emerging market transactions. Mr. Botchway started his career as a business analyst for a major consulting firm where he performed qualitative and quantitative analyses for clients aimed at identifying operational strengths and weaknesses and recommend solutions.

Mr. Botchway attended The George Washington University for his undergraduate studies in accounting and earned his Master of Arts in Leading Innovation and Change from York St. John University in York, England. He holds a Series 79 Investment Banking license, a Series 24 General Securities Principal license and is a licensed operations professional. Mr. Botchway has lived and worked in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
