About
For over 76 years and three generations of one family’s leadership, Wiegel Tool Works (WTW) has served the aerospace, appliance, automotive, construction and housing, electronics, lighting, military, solar, and telecom industries providing high-quality, precision metal stampings. WTW integrates the best German tooling and metal stamping techniques with cutting edge technology and competes in the global marketplace with a reputation for innovation, quality, and superior customer service. Over the years, WTW has strengthened its technological, skill-based foothold in today’s market, growing their people, technology, service offering and expertise, production capacity, facility space, and sales. WTW is ISO-14001 and IATF 16949:2016 certified and produces a range of complex, stamped and formed parts including battery cable connectors, brackets, bus bars, fuse clips, lead frames, lighting components, press-fit pins, terminals, electrical contacts, connectors, shields, and many other precision electrical components. WTW works with materials such as copper, brass, phosphor bronze, beryllium copper, steel, stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, galvanized steel, titanium, platinum, and pre-plated metals. WTW’s manufacturing process starts with their engineering team who designs and tests rapid prototypes, provides recommendations on existing part designs, and designs progressive dies for production stamping utilizing the most sophisticated 3D modeling software in the industry. When tooling designs are complete, they are produced in WTW’s in-house tooling department. After tooling production, finished part concepts and progressive dies are then moved into high-speed stamping or heavy stamping production. WTW also provides waterjet cutting and assembly services, and now offers multi-slide and four-slide metal forming and stamping through MSA-Wiegel N.A., their international joint venture with M.S. Ambrogio S.p.A. WTW is known as the leader in sophisticated quality controls and process efficiencies with the use of state-of-the-art electronic press monitoring controllers and in-line/off-line camera vision system and sensors to ensure superior quality that exceeds industry standards.Relevant People
