Mitch is a Partner in the Real Estate Practice Group at Freeborn & Peters LLP, a Chicago-based law firm and the Chairman/CEO of Proxfinity. Mitch takes a strategic and practical approach to solving business issues. His practice focuses on representing public and private companies, landowners, developers and investors and helping them secure land use and zoning approvals, public incentives, local regulatory and siting approvals, as well as performing zoning due diligence.
Among his projects, he has helped obtain approvals for numerous high-rise mixed-use buildings, multi-tenant data centers, manufacturing and distribution facilities, hospital campus expansions and others. He has also obtained approvals for the siting of wireless communications facilities and has written about the process from sitting to completion. Mitch represents clients before local plan commissions, zoning boards and city councils.
He is a member of Freeborn's Food and Transportation Industry Teams and its Data Center and Air Rights Sub-Practice Groups. Before joining Freeborn, he was a shareholder and led the Land Use Group at Vedder Price PC in Chicago. In addition to being a Partner at Freeborn & Peters, Mitch is also Chairman & CEO of Proxfinity, a Chicago-based technology startup.
