Dr. Naeymi-Rad is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Intelligent Medical Objects, Inc., a health care software development company. He received his Masters in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University. His masters work used probabilistic techniques for automatic classification of documents. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology in May, 1990. The title of the thesis is “Feature Dictionary to support Data Base Translation, Information Retrieval, Intelligent Medical Records, and Expert Systems.” He was co-founder of Intelligent Medical Systems, Inc., which was sold to Glaxo in 1994. Dr. Naeymi-Rad has been awarded NLM (National Library of Medicine) and NASA contracts in the area of expert systems and medical record coding. He has been nominated for special recognition by the Oracle Corporation Smithsonian Award in the category of Medicine. Dr. Naeymi-Rad and his company are involved in developing the components to support the next generation Electronic Medical Record.
