Alok Choudhary

Alok Choudhary is Henry and Isabel Dever Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a Professor of at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is the founding director of the Center for Ultra-scale Computing and Information Security (CUCIS), which involves several schools, National Labs and universities. Prof. Choudhary is the founder, chairman and Chief Scientist of 4C, which is a big-data science and social media analytics company. 4C is formerly known as Voxsup inc., and Prof. Choudhary served as its CEO from 2011-2013. Prof. Choudhary was a co-founder and VP of Technology of Accelchip Inc., in 2000, which was eventually acquired by Xilinx. He regularly speaks at many international conferences including giving keynote talks. He recently gave a plenary talk on “Big Data + Big Compute”, at SC 2013, one of largest conferences and trade shows in CS and Supercomputing attended by more than 10K people. Over the past year he has given keynote talks at EuroPar 2013, International conference on Cloud and Grid Computing, International Exascale Workshop, International Conference on High Performance Computing, DOE conferences on Computational Science and others. He has consulted for many companies including Publicis Group, Vivaki, Southwest, Intel, IBM, SPSS, Teradata, ZS Associates, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, Newsbank, Sony, Portland Group, Lucent, Oliver Weinmen, and Netezza. He has served on the board or TABs of many companies. Alok Choudhary’s work has appeared New York Times, Chicago Tribune, The Telegraph, The Investor Business Daily, ABC, PBS and many international media outlets all over the world.
