The Garage at Northwestern University is a space dedicated to helping students who are looking to start their own businesses in college. Melissa Kaufman, the executive director, explains how she helps students in their entrepreneurial efforts by teaching them to celebrate failure – each failure is a stepping-stone to eventual success, and it’s important to recognize them and continue moving forward. She also discusses how facilitating students to meet new people and discuss different problems they might face helps foster a diverse ecosystem of ideas.
