Chair of the Much Shelist Management Committee and Principal in the firm’s Business & Finance practice group, Mitchell S. Roth is an accomplished attorney with a unique blend of business, financial and legal acumen. He advises a wide range of clients, including entrepreneurs, closely held businesses and public companies involved in manufacturing, distribution, investment banking, private equity, financial services, real estate development, technology and other industries. Mitchell also serves as outside general counsel to many of the firm's largest clients.   Drawing on his in-depth understanding of the many factors that contribute to business success, Mitchell provides far-reaching, coordinated and effective counsel to his clients. He helps negotiate and structure joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, syndications, commercial lending transactions, management buyouts, financings, venture capital transactions and private placements, among other areas of service. In addition, he offers guidance on complex tax matters related to deal structuring, as well as corporate and succession planning.   Complementing his legal practice, Mitchell has significant experience as an entrepreneur, having served as an officer, director and owner of a successful national home warranty company. This unique background has allowed Mitchell to share like experiences with his clientele. A certified public accountant, he also worked in the tax department of KPMG Peat Marwick and in the audit department of Arthur Andersen’s London office prior to beginning his legal practice.   Mitchell currently chairs the Lateral Task Force and has been an important contributor to the expansion of the client base and service offerings at Much Shelist.
