About

Lauren Chipman brings a compelling background in design and the performing arts to her position as Director of Design Strategy. Recognizing the significance that design delivers to today’s hospitality, retail and restaurants markets, she delivers a distinct perspective serving as the liaison for Chipman studio designers with evolving international hospitality brands and interior design products. Her entrepreneurial vision continues to bring a fresh, unconventional direction to the architecture and design firm, and she is a champion of community-based arts and design outreach. As an arts mentor, she has worked on faculty at the prestigious Colburn Academy overseeing their Los Angeles outreach programs and performances. An alum of several live radio appearances on NPR’s “From the Top,” Lauren has continued to collaborate on their West Coast educational and community involvement programs, co-hosting their 2013 Gala in Boston as well as performing as music director for their appearance at Google Zeitgeist. Throughout her years immersed in the Los Angeles arts scene, Lauren performed as a string instrumentalist and was as comfortable in classical settings as on a Hollywood soundstage. She recorded with artists from John Legend, Aerosmith and Justin Timberlake to Taylor Swift and Band of Horses. Television included appearances from the Tonight Show to the Grammys with a host of film, tv and commercial soundtrack recordings. A graduate of the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, Lauren received her Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance and went on to pursue graduate studies in music and business.
