About
Aaron Wiegel was born into manufacturing. His grandfather founded Wiegel Tool Works (WTW) in 1941. Aaron started working at Wiegel Tool Works packaging parts while he was in grade school and later working in multiple departments. He attended Purdue University to study Mechanical Engineering and later transferred to Northern Illinois University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Technology.
Aaron officially joined WTW in January 2001 and over the years learned the ins and outs of the family business by working in every WTW department, both on the shop floor and in the office. In 2010, Aaron became Co-Owner and President of Wiegel Tool Works. In partnership with his sister Erica and his brother Ryan, Aaron has grown the business, tripled revenues, grown production efficiency and capacity by investing in the latest technologies, built a highly-skilled and qualified team, marked the company’s 75-year anniversary, and prepared the company for future growth.
In May of 2017, Aaron established and became President of MSA-Wiegel N.A., an international joint venture and partnership with M.S. Ambrogio S.p.A., created to further add to Aaron’s manufacturing capabilities and serve his customers on a global scale.
