Farissa Knox, Founder and CEO at RLM Media talks about her journey as an entrepreneur and some of the challenges she has faced and overcome. Ms. Knox talks about a pivot in the company that she acted on and now sees that her decision was the most profitable and efficient way to take the company even though it was hard because there were lay-offs involved in the pivot. One of the important messages she shares is to treat each employee as an individual. She’s found that this brings about a happy and productive culture. She also talks about being a black woman leading a company and that she proudly shares her experience because as she was coming up, she had very little examples that helped guide her along her path.
