About
Tom, a very proud and active alumni of St. Bonaventure University, began LaunchPad Lab after an eleven year stint running trading firms and building software in the high speed world of finance. He constantly thinks about how to use software to make enormous impact, and he loves working with clients to maximize their potential. Tom preaches design thinking, business innovation strategy, and works a side gig as a superhero (the latter being a great source of joy to his 1 and 3 year old daughters).
He started his career in finance as a trader in the Chicago trading pits. After 6 years, he left the floor to start a high speed trading firm. During that time, he became very involved in building trading software. Tom kept seeing missed growth opportunities because of a lack of technology knowledge. In 2012 he co-founded a software development consultancy (LaunchPad Lab) to help bridge that gap. Among other areas, they devote much of their time to building technology in the HealthTech space. He am specifically interested in building technology that speeds up the time it takes for researchers to find a cure for cancer.
