Mr. Robinson is Chief Executive of Mandarin Communications Group (MCG), which is Publisher of Mandarin Leader.  He has 16 years of China business experience, including 7 years living in China.  As a graduate of Johns Hopkins University's Nanjing Center, Robinson is recognized for his academic approach to the China trade, and regarded as one of North America's leading "China-hands" -  a distinction that puts him near the center of federal, city and state efforts to attract Chinese investors, businesses, and families.  John is fluent in Chinese and conducts much of his business in language. Building off a career in real estate and strategy consulting, Mr Robinson founded MCG in 2009 as a marketing and media company entirely focused on supporting Western marketing executives brand and market their B2B or B2C offerings to Chinese in North America, and for two of MCG's B2B media brands (Mandarin Property and Mandarin Environment), marketing to Chinese decision-makers in China who are eying investments in the West.  Under Robinson's careful guidance, MCG has built up an enviable client base including: Chanel, Cartier, Harry Winston, Louis Vuitton, Steinway, Credit Suisse, Ralph Lauren, Wells Fargo and United Airlines.   Whether real estate, clean-tech, cosmetics, banking, or auto, MCG is a leading authority on marketing to Chinese households and companies in North America, as well as inbound investors.  MCG was recently honored with the Excellence in Media award from OCA, a leading Asian non-profit in the US.   MCG's media brand, Mandarin Leader, has become an annual who's who of creative and altruistic organizations and individuals in North America's Chinese community.
