About
Restoration Ministries provides life-changing opportunities for men and women with addictions providing 18-month residential Christian-based programming free of charge, helping residents learn life and job skills. Residents receive counseling, daily devotions and attend two recovery meetings a week. Through our youth programs, we help children and teens improve academically, avoid destructive behaviors and identity and develop their talents. Our goal is have students prepared for high school success. A weekly food pantry provides residents of Harvey, Dixmoor and Phoenix with food and basic needs. With the help of dedicated volunteers, Restoration Ministry serves an average of 100 households a week. Our community garden also provides fresh vegetables and herbs to our neighbors and food pantry clients. In addition, we are a weekly site for the South Suburban PADS Emergency Shelter for homeless individuals. We welcome women and children Sunday evenings from October through April. We operate two thrift stores, that provide job training and employment for Harvey House and Tabitha House residents and graduates. The stores also provide a steady stream of revenue to support our programs.Relevant People
