About

The Happy Profitable Employees Project™ started when I became curious about what keeps people motivated and happy in the workplace. Following are a few observations:

• Both employers and employees need to be profitable

• Companies that adapt to employee preferences, like remote working and flexible work schedules, increase retention and attract talented people in a tight labor market

• Employees, especially millennials, expect learning opportunities and leadership development

• Applying agile methods to workforce development prepares employees for the future of work, helping them adapt to change Through research and interviews, I figured out the best way to help organizations—and the people who build them—flourish while adapting to change.

The project is a series of blog posts, advice, workshops, guides, tools and templates. The Workforce Development Agility Model is designed to help organizations and workers collaborate on creating relevant workplaces.

This research builds upon the Agile Careerist Project™, which centered around the individual experience in the workplace.
