Laura Trouille, PhD, has been leading the Adler Planetarium’s Citizen Science efforts, including Zooniverse, since June 2015.  Before that, she held a dual postdoctoral position at Northwestern University and the Adler, as an observational astronomer examining supermassive black holes and a science-education researcher. She earned a Bachelors’ Degree summa cum laude from Dartmouth College and holds a doctorate in Astronomy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Zooniverse.org, the world’s largest platform for people-powered research, is a collaboration between Chicago’s Adler Planetarium, the University of Oxford, the University of Minnesota, 2 million participants, and hundreds of researchers around the world.
