Kamau Murray, the president and founder of XS Tennis, believes that students learn a multitude of life lessons alongside their tennis training, including tenacity, sportsmanship, the importance of a strong work ethic, self-confidence, and how to interact with and support their peers. The XS Tennis and Education Foundation provides Chicago’s underserved youth with an enriching after school safe-haven and athletic/academic pathway to college. Kamau discusses the importance of community support and shares the most important lesson he has learned over the years.
